PITTSFORD, N.Y. – The Roc City Guardians Pipes and Drums band had the honor of playing at the “Blue and Red” scrimmage at Highmark Stadium.
The Pittsford-based band performed on the field just before the game. News10NBC caught up with them as they practiced.
The band’s members expressed excitement about the opportunity, especially since they only formed last October.
“We have a complete set that we’re playing and we’ve worked with them to say this is the tunes and the arrangements and stuff, so yes, we have all that set up and ready to go,” Glen Johnson said.
“Everybody’s here, everybody’s excited to go. It’s really a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to do that,” said Johnson.
The event marked a significant milestone for the band, showcasing their dedication and talent.
