John Oates, 77, of Hall & Oates fame knows a thing or two about music. After meeting fellow artist Daryl Hall while studying at Temple University, the duo took the '70s and '80s by total storm. "Popular" feels like an understatement. After his time with Hall, Oates went on to carving out a successful solo career for himself and has been heavily involved in the music scene.

So it should come as no surprise that the icon is giving a fellow legend his flowers. Recently Oates was at a Psychedelic Furs Concert and praised lead singer (and friend) Richard Butler, 69, for their incredible performance.

"You never hear of them getting mentioned by the media types, but they have a very solid history with a terrific catalogue, and great concert performances," wrote one fan, With Oates responded he agreed with it 100%.
"Love that you’re a fan! I would watch Butler for days on end," added another.
"They are always tight because they never stop touring. I think I’ve seen him 20 times maybe. It seems like they’re playing a show every other week in town," wrote another.
While best known for their hit "Pretty in Pink" the Psychedelic Furs have produce eight studio albums and released 22 singles. They're most recent album Made of Rain, was released in 2020, a good 29 years after their previous album.
