DENVER (KDVR) — A serious injury crash closed the northbound lanes of Interstate 25 on Thursday evening at Colfax Avenue.
The crash was reported by the Denver Police Department at about 5:36 p.m. on X. Colorado Department of Transportation cameras showed the crash occurred almost under Colfax Avenue on I-25 north.
The agency said that all northbound traffic was being diverted from I-25 north onto Auraria Parkway.
Backups were visible as far south as Santa Fe Drive.
The police department is recommending alternate routes for drivers, but it's unclear how long the roadway could be closed.
