BROCKPORT, N.Y. — After more than two years of construction and complications on the Village of Brockport’s Main Street bridge, a lot of the work is getting done.

According to the village’s website, the bridge will reopen on Aug. 4. They also say the guide rail will be installed, and electrical work and testing will be done this week. Functional testing will also start on July 28.
The reopening was originally set for September of 2024, but has been pushed back multiple times, affecting local businesses and contractors.

The rehabilitation of the 110-year-old bridge includes replacing most of its parts to make sure it lasts another 50 years.
