The UK FTSE 100 has extended to a new intraday high of 8984.98. That surpassed the high price from Friday at 8918.49. The index is up around 40 points or 0.42% on the day.
In March, the high price extended to 8908.82 before tumbling to a low for the year at 7544.83. Since then, the price has surged by 19.10% to new highs for the year and all-time highs. The price is up 9.91% on the year (close the year at 8173).
Last week, the German DAX reached a new all-time high before rotating lower over the last few days. The German DAX is down -163 points or -0.67% today..
