Atlanta-based chicken sandwich chain Chick-fil-A plans to build a new restaurant and drive-thru location in Greeley.
Site-plan-review documents submitted to the city this month show that Chick-fil-A intends to build a 5,516-square-foot fast-food restaurant with 65 parking spaces on nearly 2.8 acres at the southeast corner of 10th Street and 83rd Avenue.
“We believe this new Chick-fil-A restaurant will be an asset to the City of Greeley and will be well received by the surrounding community,” the company wrote in a memo to Greeley planners.
The development team for the new Chick-fil-A includes 4G Development & Consulting, planning firm Kimley-Horn & Associates Inc. and engineering firm Merrick & Co., application documents show.
“The proposed Chick-fil-A is expected to generate approximately 3,860 weekday daily trips, with 148 of these trips occurring during the weekday morning peak hour and 270 of these trips occurring during the weekday afternoon peak hour,” according to a traffic report from Kimley-Horn. “… Based on the analysis presented in this report, Kimley-Horn believes the proposed Chick-fil-A will be successfully incorporated into the existing and future roadway network.”
The proposed restaurant would be open from 5:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and closed on Sundays.
Chick-fil-A, representatives of which did not immediately respond Tuesday to requests for additional information, did not specify in its site-review application an anticipated opening date or construction timeline for the new Greeley location.
Greeley has an existing Chick-fil-A restaurant at 4555 Centerplace Drive, about five miles by car from the site of the proposed new location.
