The knockout stages are the business end of Euro 2025.
Europe's top 16 teams have made it to the tournament in Switzerland but only eight can progress beyond the groups – and that's where things really get interesting.
It's do or die in the quarter-finals and semi-finals as the remaining teams are whittled down to just the two that will compete for the trophy in Basel at the end of July.
When every game needs a winner, extra time and penalties come into the equation – supplying even more drama.
RadioTimes.com brings you all the details about the Women's Euro 2025 extra time and penalties rules.

Women's Euro 2025 extra time rules
If games in the knockout stages of Women's Euro 2025 are not settled after 90 minutes and any injury time, then there will be a period of extra time in an attempt to decide which team progresses.
In total, there will be 30 minutes of extra time, split into 15-minute halves.
A maximum of five substitutes spread over three blocks of changes are permitted during the 90 minutes, although managers will be allowed an additional substitution and an additional opportunity to make the change if the game goes to extra time.
Women's Euro 2025 penalties rules
If extra time does not produce a winner, then the tie will be decided by a penalty shootout.
Players from each team will take spot kicks in turns until there's a winner.
If the scores are level after five penalties each, the shootout will go to sudden death. At that point, if one team misses followed by the opposition scoring – or vice versa – then it will be over.
Any player who finishes the game can take a spot kick, including goalkeepers, but unused substitutes or those replaced during the match cannot take part.
If the officials deem the goalkeeper has come off their line before a penalty is taken, they can order it to be retaken.
