Welcome to Plathville Star Drops Bombshells About TV Family

Welcome to Plathville is back on TLC for season 7, promising even more drama, new family dynamics, and emotional moments. However, one cast member is making headlines off-screen. Taking to social media, they’re recounting their not-so-rosy experiences with the reality television family.

Veronica Peters, who dated Micah Plath for some time before appearing on season 6 of the TLC series, took to Instagram to drop some allegations against his family. She claims she feels unsafe after leaving her relationship with Micah behind.

In a lengthy Instagram video posted on July 1, 2025, Veronica shared her experiences with the Plath family. She captioned the clip, "My voice and safety are more important than pocket change."

"As most of you know, Micah and I broke up months ago," she began. "After a violent wedding that was filmed on camera."

In the video, Veronica didn’t explicitly name which wedding she was referring to. However, the only recent Plath family wedding was Lydia Plath’s marriage to Zac Wyse, making it the likely event in question.

The wedding took place on February 22, 2025, in Georgia. According to Reddit comments made by Veronica, a fight reportedly broke out between brothers Micah and Isaac Plath. There are claims Micah was seriously injured and had to be hospitalized following the incident.

"I asked for help several times. I spoke up. Tired of it," Veronica continued in the clip. "I asked the network for help, I wanted to feel safe. It was one of my reservations about not wanting to do the show in the beginning because I wanted to feel safe and I wanted my privacy."

The realtor also maintains she had to move for her safety. Veronica alleges that she made six or seven police calls to law enforcement during 2025 that were "Plath, Plathville, or network related."

Veronica insists there are a lot of things the network "covered up." She adds that she is interested in seeing the footage that will eventually be used during season 7.

"They broke me. I'm speaking up. They haven't paid me for season 7, and they probably won't. My voice is way more important than a few dollars," she declares.

In a teaser trailer for the new season, Veronica further addressed her tumultuous relationship with the Plath's, including Micah's sister, Moriah Plath. She said, "I feel like not only did I lose a friend, but I lost a sister. And that I was the problem."

In response, Ethan Plath tells TLC's cameras, "Veronica thinks my family is out to get her. Olivia [Plath] thought the same thing."

He asks Veronica directly, "If you want to be part of this family, this is the price you pay." She responds, "I'm gonna be honest, I don't know if I wanna be part of the family."

Micah adds, "I'm trying to ride the line of not doing what I feel like Ethan did. He took Olivia's side and didn't talk to my mom or dad [Kim and Barry Plath]. I don't want anything close to that."

Veronica closes out the clip, explaining she feels like she's in "chemistry class" trying to mix things, and they're going to explode any second. She's then seen on FaceTime with Ethan's ex-wife, Olivia, who tells Veronica, "I should have warned you."

Welcome to Plathville season 7 debuts on Tuesday, July 22 at 10 ET on TLC.
