ROCHESTER, N.Y. — A driver is charged with DWI after a pickup truck slammed into a porch on Alexander Street on Wednesday morning.
Crews had to shut down the street between Broadway and Monroe Avenue as they checked on the integrity of the home and put out a fire in the truck’s engine.
The crash happened just after 1:30 p.m. Rochester Police say the driver left the road and hit the porch while two people were home. Neither of them was hurt.
The driver went to the hospital to treat minor injuries. The driver was issued an appearance ticket.
