Shack Shack will begin serving Dubai Chocolate Pistachio Shakes at restaurants nationwide on Tuesday, June 24. But there’s a catch.
Each location will be serving only 50 of the trendy shakes a day, according to a news release from the New York-based chain.
And the shakes can only be purchased in person.
The shakes were inspired by chocolate bars from the United Arab Emirates that have created a worldwide viral sensation. The original bars, created by Fix Dessert Chocolatier, have pastachio filling and hand-designed surfaces. They can be ordered for around $5 a bar, or $5 an ounce, from retailers such as Amazon.
Shake Shack’s beverage is made with real pistachio frozen custard blended with toasted kataifi shredded phyllo, according to the news release. It’s topped with a dark chocolate shell and chopped pistachios.
Prices will start at $9.49.
Shake Shack tested the shake last March at 10 locations in and around Los Angeles as well as stores in New York and Miami.
