PERRY, N.Y. – A former police officer has been sentenced to prison after pleading guilty to attempted sexual abuse.
Aung Kung Myat, 38, was sentenced to four years in prison on Tuesday. He was arrested by the Village of Perry Police Department in Wyoming County.
At the time of the crime, Myat was a reserve unit officer with the Buffalo Police Department. In addition to his prison sentence, he will be required to register as a sex offender.
