A brush fire broke out near El Monte County Park in Lakeside Tuesday, leading to almost immediate evacuation orders as the flames threatened structures.
The fire, reported in the 15900 block of El Monte Road in Lakeside, initially reported to have burned five acres east of Wildcat Canyon Road and west of El Capitan Reservoir, has now consumed 25.
