Grand theft: Between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., someone stole a copper water tray from the front porch of a residence in the 20000 block of Knollwood Drive. On June 7 the victim contacted the sheriff’s office to report that they found the water tray at their house, and their cleaning service had moved it. Even though no crime had been committed, the incident was still documented, given the gap between the initial report and the victim finding the item.

    DUI: At 12:09 p.m., deputies were advised that a vehicle traveling on Saratoga-Los Gatos Road was driving with its hazard lights activated, and the driver was unable to stay within their lane of travel. Deputies responded to the area of Saratoga-Los Gatos Road at Oak Avenue and located the vehicle, which appeared to have struck the curb. An investigation resulted in the arrest of the driver for driving under the influence of alcohol. The suspect was booked into the main jail.

    Non-Injury hit and run collision, battery on a peace officer: Occurred at 4:50 p.m. in the 14000 block of Big Basin Way. When deputies contacted the suspect, who left the scene of the collision, he became confrontational and struck one of the deputies. The deputy sustained no injuries, and the suspect was booked into main jail.

    June 5

    Organized retail theft: At 10 a.m., someone took about $1,500 of store merchandise without paying from Safeway on Saratoga Sunnyvale Road.

    June 6

    Residential burglary: Between 10:21 p.m. and 10:27 p.m., someone entered a residence in the 12000 block of Woodside Drive by shattering a rear glass door. The suspect searched the residence, but the deputy could not reach the owners, so it is unknown if anything was stolen.

    June 7

    Vandalism: between 2:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m., someone scratched a vehicle parked in the 14000 block of Granite Court. The total amount of damage was about $2,500.

    June 8

    DUI: At 4:46 a.m., deputies stopped a motorist at Prospect Road and Brookglen Drive for a traffic violation. An investigation resulted in the arrest of the driver for driving under the influence of alcohol. The suspect was booked into main jail.
