Thompson Valley alum and Furman senior Dylan Schubert finished seventh in the 10,000-meter run late Wednesday night at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Eugene, Ore.
Schubert remained among the top ten runners throughout the race, finishing in a time of 29:11.18. The competitors ran in a pack throughout the majority of the race, with the pace picking up dramatically in the final few laps. New Mexico’s Ishmael Kipkurui was first in 29:07.70.

At the outdoor national meet last year, he was 19th in the 10,000 meters after winning the East Preliminaries.
