Blake Lively vowed to continue to “stand up” for women’s rights while breaking her silence on Justin Baldoni’s lawsuit against her being dismissed.
“Last week, I stood proudly alongside 19 organizations united in defending women’s rights to speak up for their safety,” Lively, 37, wrote via her Instagram Story on Monday, June 9. “Like so many others, I’ve felt the pain of a retaliatory lawsuit, including the manufactured shame that tries to break us.”
She noted, “While the suit against me was defeated, so many don’t have the resources to fight back.”
Lively revealed, “I’m more resolved than ever to continue to stand for every woman’s right to have a voice in protecting themselves, including their safety, their integrity, their dignity and their story.”

The Gossip Girl alum explained that “there are protections out there” for women in need, linking out to “some of the incredible organizations” she has worked with or knows exist such as National Network to End Domestic Violence and National Organization for Women.
“With love and gratitude for the many who stood by me, many of you I know. Many of you I don’t,” Lively concluded. “But I will never stop appreciating or advocating for you. — B.”
Courtesy of Blake Lively/InstagramLively’s statement and continued call to action comes shortly after Judge Lewis J. Liman dismissed Baldoni’s $400 million lawsuit against her and husband Ryan Reynolds on Monday.
The judge also tossed out Baldoni’s $250 million libel complaint against The New York Times, which was the first to report on Lively accusing her It Ends With Us costar and director, 41, of sexual harassment and launching a smear campaign to damage her public image in 2024.
The judge noted that Baldoni can still amend his claims for breach of implied covenant and tortious interference with contract. The deadline for his legal team to do so is June 23. (Us has reached out to Baldoni for comment.)
Blake Lively Slams Justin Baldoni Abandoning Message of 'Listening to Women'
Lively and Baldoni have been embroiled in a messy legal battle since December 2024 when Lively accused the actor of creating a hostile work environment while filming their project It Ends With Us. Baldoni denied all the allegations, including the claims of sexual harassment toward Lively, and filed a countersuit against her, Reynolds, 48, and their publicist Leslie Sloane.
Lively and Reynolds filed motions to dismiss Baldoni’s lawsuit in March and Sloane requested to be removed. (Lively’s initial lawsuit against Baldoni is set to go to trial in March 2026.)
Following Lively and Reynolds’ legal win today, her team issued a statement to Us, saying, “Today’s opinion is a total victory and a complete vindication for Blake Lively, along with those that Justin Baldoni and the Wayfarer Parties dragged into their retaliatory lawsuit, including Ryan Reynolds, Leslie Sloane and The New York Times.”
Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively's Lawyers Take New Shots at Each Other
The actress’ attorneys Esra Hudson and Mike Gottlieb added: “As we have said from day one, this ‘$400 million’ lawsuit was a sham, and the Court saw right through it. We look forward to the next round, which is seeking attorneys’ fees, treble damages and punitive damages against Baldoni, Sarowitz, Nathan, and the other Wayfarer Parties who perpetrated this abusive litigation.”
A source close to Lively and Reynolds exclusively told Us on Monday that the pair “feel relief and vindication” with the dismissal.
“Blake is feeling a sense of pride that she continued to use her voice and stand strong and the counterattacks will now no longer be given more air,” the insider added.
