DENVER (KDVR) — A man in the country illegally is facing federal and state charges after authorities allege he threw Molotov cocktails in a Sunday attack on a peaceful gathering of supporters of Israeli hostages in Gaza at Boulder's Pearl Street Mall.
The FBI called it a “targeted terror attack" and said Mohamed Sabry Soliman, 45, had been planning to attack a "Zionist group" for a year, according to the Associated Press. Officials said 12 people were injured.

District Attorney Michael Dougherty in a Monday press conference said investigators uncovered 16 unused Molotov cocktails, and FBI Denver Special Agent in Charge Mark Michalek said these were within arm's reach of Soliman.
Soliman has been charged with a federal hate crime, as well as numerous other federal charges, and faces 42 state charges, including attempted murder and assault. The state’s bail was set at $10 million, cash only, with conditions.
