COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) -- Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine ordered flags at half-staff on Sunday.
Flags will be lowered to half-staff on all public buildings and grounds from sunrise to sunset on Sunday in honor of the National Fallen Firefighters Memorial Service.
This year's National Fallen Firefighters Memorial Service will honor 70 firefighters who died in the line of duty in 2024, and 70 who died in previous years.
The service is scheduled for 10 a.m. on Sunday. A candlelight service will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. The tributes will take place in Emmitsburg, Maryland.
