San Diego County deserts have a blustery, gusty weekend ahead, with the National Weather Service issuing a wind advisory set to begin Saturday.
The advisory will take effect at 6 p.m. and continue to 6 a.m. Sunday with west winds of 30 to 40 mph in the forecast and gusts of up to 55 mph expected.
There may be isolated gusts of 65 mph, forecasters said.
The San Gorgonio Pass, including the cities of Borrego Springs, Banning, and Desert HotSprings, are included in the advisory.
Officials warned that unsecured objects could be tossed about in the wind, tree limbs could be blown down and power outages may result.
As for temperatures, highs are expected to reach the mid-60s along the coast, rising to the upper-60s inland.
After the weekend, a warming trend is expected, staring to build Wednesday with highs expected in the upper-70s by Friday.
