Delhi Capitals (DC) pacer Dushmantha Chameera came up with a magical effort on the field in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 clash against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). The match between the two teams is taking place at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.
Dushmantha Chameera, who was having a tough outing with the ball, made up for that as he came up with one of the best catches of the ongoing IPL 2025. The Sri Lanka National Cricket Team's fast bowler came up with a magical effort to remove Anukul Roy and help his team finish the innings on high.
On the 4th ball of the last over, Mitchell Starc missed the yorker and offered a half volley on the pads. Anukul Roy made a great connection with his whip, and the ball was sailing over the rope near backward square leg. The ball raced off very fast off his bat, and a certain boundary was on the cards.
But Dushmantha Chameera ran to his left and flung himself sideways. He stretched both his hands and managed to hang on. His fine effort not only saved six but also provided Delhi Capitals with the crucial wicket in the last over of the innings.
Even Dushmantha Chameera was a bit surprised after completing the catch and took a few seconds to get up. He potentially picked the catch of the tournament and left Delhi Capitals players stunned, who ran across to mob the Sri Lankan.
