Firewind has new music coming. The Greek power metal outfit behind Allegiance and The Premonition announced their first album in three years, Gods, Myths & Titans, due Feb. 19, 2027.
A release from BLKIIBLK, Frontiers Label Group’s dedicated metal imprint, Gods, Myths & Titans is a 12-track concept album inspired by Greek mythology.

It’s been two years in the making, and our goal was to create the most epic album in the history of the band.”
According to the Ozzy Osbourne alum, the band added cinematic and orchestral elements to their classic metal sound, adding an entirely new layer of groove to Firewind.
“Each track is a gate to a different myth,” he continued. “We went all in with the visual side as well and worked with Felipe Machado, who created unique artworks for every song. These are tales of power, glory, tragedy, and defiance.”
To celebrate the album news, Firewind dropped the first single, “The Legend of Achilles,” sharing that it’s a song about “one of the mightiest warrior legends ever to walk the earth.”
Gus G’s brainchild, Firewind formed in 1998. Over more than two decades, the band has evolved from a solo showcase into one of the most enduring and respected acts in the melodic power metal scene.
Despite an ever-shifting lineup, Gus G has remained Firewind’s core member. The band reached a major milestone in the mid-2000s with Allegiance and The Premonition, featuring singer Apollo Papathanasio and keyboardist Bob Katsionis. Then, Herbie Langhans took over vocal duties from 2020 to 2025.
Gods, Myths & Titans marks the return of Henning Basse behind the microphone, “bringing a powerful and distinctive vocal presence that perfectly complements the band’s unmistakable sound.”
