MANHATTAN, N.Y. (PIX11) — Actress Michelle Trachtenberg's cause of death has been revealed.
On Wednesday, the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner of the City of New York disclosed that Trachtenberg died of complications from diabetes mellitus.
The medical examiner's office determined the manner of death to be natural.

Emergency medical services pronounced Trachtenberg dead at the scene. No foul play was suspected.
Trachtenberg’s family initially objected to an autopsy because there was no evidence of criminality, and the medical examiner’s office honored the objection. Trachtenberg’s original cause and manner of death were listed as undetermined.
The actress's career began at age eight when she played Nona Mecklenberg on Nickelodeon’s “The Adventures of Pete & Pete." Her other credits include adaptations of “Harriet the Spy” and “Inspector Gadget.”
