    Dow industrial average rose 619.05 points or 1.56% at 40,212.71 pointsS&P index rose 95.31 points or 1.81% at 5363.36.NASDAQ index rose 337.14 points or 2.06% at 16724.45.The small-cap Russell 2000 gains 28.80 points or 1.57% at 1860.2047.
