ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Threat Tracker is green with large area of high pressure dominating our local weather into the start of the weekend. Sunny and mild afternoons with clear and chilly nights ahead. Very dry conditions as well with a little afternoon wind off the lake. If you are planning to head to any festivals into the weekend, going to the Bills game Sunday, or thinking of visiting an area farm for some fall activities, the weather couldn’t be nicer. Enjoy! Latest fall foliage report is out and we are just starting to see a little color south of the lake with midpoint conditions in the Adirondacks.
While we are planning on a nice fall weekend there will be a large storm developing off the east coast. We will need to monitor to see if any impacts make it towards our region but for now the heavy rain and wind will stay well to our east towards New York City and Boston. Locally we will see some increasing clouds through the weekend and a cool breeze on Sunday, but it stays mainly dry. If you are planning to travel towards the coast this weekend, keep an eye on updates with the storm system. Next week will feature a warm-up midweek with some rain finally back in our forecast by later Wednesday into Thursday. Stay tuned to News10 for updates.
