A 57-year-old man was killed in a single-vehicle crash in Lakeside Wednesday.
The El Cajon resident was driving a 2006 Toyota Tacoma pickup truck westbound when it veered off El Monte Road and overturned east of Lake Jennings Park Road shortly before 2:30 p.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.
The driver, who was not wearing a seat belt, was ejected onto the roadway and died at the scene, CHP public affairs Officer Jasmine Lopez said. His name was withheld pending family notification.
A passenger in the pickup, a 41-year-old El Cajon man, suffered minor injuries, Lopez said.
