Jalen Milroe is reportedly going to attend the NFL Draft later this month in Green Bay, and that can be read a certain way in itself.
The former Alabama quarterback had a standout career in Tuscaloosa, even though he didn’t lead the Crimson Tide to a national championship. In 2023, he led Alabama to the College Football Playoff and within a whisker of playing for a national title.
Last fall, Milroe couldn’t catapult the Crimson Tide into the Playoff again, but he did throw for 2,844 yards and 16 touchdowns, although there were 11 interceptions to go along with it. He was a beast on the ground, piling up 726 yards and a whopping 20 touchdowns.
Now, all of that is over for Milroe, and he’ll get a chance at a fresh start with some NFL team. That will all happen at the 2025 NFL Draft in Green Bay, where Milroe will apparently be in attendance. A lot of times, if a player is going to be at the draft itself, he truly believes his draft stock is that good.
Andy Staples of On3 had his own take on the whole Milroe draft attendance saga on Monday.
“The NFL does not want a Will Levis situation to happen ever again. They don’t want someone who’s at the green room to be falling asleep because they’re not getting picked in the first round. The suggestion here is that if (Milroe) has accepted this invitation, he feels very confident he’s getting picked in the first round,” explained Staples during his podcast.

— On3 (@On3sports) April 7, 2025That whole Levis sad situation that Staples was referencing happened at the 2023 draft, when the former Penn State and Kentucky quarterback sat there for seemingly forever before finally getting picked early in the second round at No. 33 by the Tennessee Titans.
It seems like Milroe believes he’s not headed for the same fate, which is what Staples was trying to say on Monday.
