Ukiah High Middle College’s first Academic Decathlon Team qualified for their first State Finals on March 21-23 in Santa Clara, competing against 53 other high schools and over 500 Decathletes from across California.
At their regional competition at the beginning of February, the team won fifth place overall and first place in their division. In total the team brought home 22 individual medals and one team medal with a Gold in Superquiz.
Representing Ukiah High Middle College at State Finals are: Lena Strickland, Wren Prout, Alejandra Mosqueda, Raul Barajas, Sergio Hernandez Gonzalez, Natalie Chadwick, Camille Rico, Andrew Salas, and Catalino Martinez-de Jesus.
