AN Aldi shopper was left bewildered when she realized that a popular snack had been discontinued – but the retailer didn’t seem to provide answers.
The customer was left wanting details over the treat being discontinued.
Elaine, from Chicago, revealed that she wanted to buy some biscuits at the grocery store, according to an X thread.
“When did they discontinue the oatmeal cookies?” she asked.
But, an Aldi spokesperson struggled to provide details that could help uncover the riddle.

“But our customer service team can try to look into that more for you!”
In their reply, the spokesperson shared a link that directs customers to a feedback form.
Shoppers can send messages to the retailer about stock, quality and ingredients.
And, there is space for the shopper to provide details about the products they are requesting.
But, the news that the particular type of oatmeal cookies had been discontinued seemed to spark fear among shoppers.
A shopper claimed they bought an oatmeal-cranberry cookie from their local Aldi store.
“In fact my husband is eating one now,” they added.
“If they are discontinued, I don’t know how I’m going to break this to him!”
Aldi didn’t respond to the customer’s fears.
Shoppers have also berated Aldi’s decision to ax a brand of fair trade organic coffee.

Other customers reported that self-checkout was closed during specific hours, and more cashiers were offered instead.

However, that test run has been phased out.
At Target, items are being limited at self-checkout.
Last fall, the brand surveyed new express self-checkout lanes across 200 stores with 10 items or less for more convenience.
As of March 2024, this policy has been expanded across 2,000 stores in the US.

“That was such a great product,” one claimed.
And, they vowed not to buy coffee from Aldi as a consequence of the decision to discontinue the drink.
Aldi also came under fire when a popular potato meal vanished from the shelves.
The shopper claimed that it had vanished within two days.
