Dunkin’s At Home Line Expands With New Espresso Options

Dunkin' is about to drop its "boldest" offer yet.

Hours after confirming the arrival of Dunkin' Zero, a new zero-sugar energy drink available only in its physical stores, the beloved coffee brand surprised fans with another innovative way to enjoy the flavors of Dunkin'—and this one is accessible without having to set foot inside the shop.

Joining the ranks of Dunkin' Cold Brews, creamer flavors and coffees is an all-new beverage line inspired by another one of its menu staples: iced espresso. And unlike its line of flavored concentrates and variety of Cold Brew Packets, the new Dunkin' Double is ready to enjoy right out of the fridge.

Dunkin' Double: The New, Faster Way to Enjoy Dunkin' Espresso

Dunkin' Double is a collection of iced espresso-style drinks that delivers an energizing boost straight from the can in one of three classic Dunkin' flavors: Original, Café Mocha and Salted Caramel.

All three recipes are made with real milk and real cane sugar so that they offer "a smooth, satisfying experience that doesn’t compromise on taste," per the brand.

The exact amount of caffeine is currently unclear, but according to an official description shared with Parade, each 15-ounce can "packs the equivalent of two shots of espresso."

A description provided online by Publix suggests Dunkin' Double Iced Espresso contains approximately 140 milligrams of caffeine and 180 calories per can, which is more than a Red Bull but less than a Celsius or C4. The closest ready-to-enjoy energy drink equivalent would be one 16-ounce Monster Energy, which contains 160 milligrams of caffeine per serving on average. Given that most experts recommend adults limit their daily caffeine intake to about 400 milligrams per day, it's probably best to stop after one Dunkin' Double, no matter how tasty they may be.

As for where and when Dunkin' fans can find the new collection, it's launching far and wide—across the country at major retailers and grocery stores nationwide beginning next week.

According to the official announcement, the new Dunkin' Double Iced Espressos are expected to be on shelves on or around Tuesday, March 10. Confirmed retailers include Amazon, Kroger (and presumably its family of stores, which include Baker's, Fred Meyer, King Soopers, Mariano's, Ralphs, etc.), Publix, and QuickTrip. It appears to be available as individual cans (prices may vary), and whether the collection will launch in multi or variety packs is not clear at this time.
