Bay Area is under an updated wind advisory which was released by the National Weather Service on Sunday at 10:46 p.m. The advisory is in effect until Monday, Mar. 17 at 2 a.m.
“South winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 45 mph expected,” the NWS San Francisco CA said. “Gusts greater than 60 mph can be expected in the higher ridgelines and peaks.”
“Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result,” according to the NWS. “Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution. Secure loose outdoor objects that could be blown around or damaged by the wind.”
