OAKLAND – A multi-day crackdown on illegal casinos earlier this month in Oakland resulted in nine arrests and the seizure of more than a dozen guns, police said.

In addition to making arrests and seizing firearms, officers also recovered gambling machines, suspected methamphetamine and ammunition, Chambers said.
The crackdown followed an uptick in violence related to illegal casinos last month.
