Harlem Eubank dropped Tyrone McKenna three times before stopping him in the tenth round – and immediately called out Conor Benn.
The 31-year-old proved too good for his Irish rival on Friday night at the Brighton centre as he extended his unbeaten record to 21-0.
Eubank floored his 35-year-old opponent first in the fifth with a brutal right hand.
And he again had McKenna sprawled across the canvas in the seventh with a other right that landed flush on his rival’s chin.
McKenna again hit the deck in the tenth round, before the referee was forced to step in and wave away the contest to stop the Belfast native from inflicting more punishment.
As a result, Eubank – watched on by his famous uncle Chris Eubank Sr and cousin Chris Eubank Jr – picked up the IBF intercontinental welterweight strap.
And he’s immediately targeting a step up in class, as he turned his attention to fellow unbeaten British star Benn – who is scheduled to face his cousin Eubank Jr in April.
