The Chicago Cubs are now 6-0 in Cactus League play, beating the Diamondbacks 4-2 today, and man it makes me wish it was the regular season already. I know, I know, I know this doesn’t translate. Not really, anyway. But still. These guys are HOT. Each of Carson Kelly and Vidal Brujan homered, Pete Crow-Armstrong did his chaos thing, Ryan Brasier made his clean Cubs debut, and Julian Merryweather was nasty.
And the Cubs got a boost from a prodigal source today, as Sammy Sosa returned to Cubs camp for the first time in a couple decades. Now that he’s back in the familial fold, hopefully we’ll be seeing a lot more of Sosa, who remains a hero to so many young baseball players.
