SACRAMENTO – A police chase that started as an attempted burglary call ended with several people in custody early Friday morning.
Sacramento police say their officers initially responded around 4 a.m. to a report of a vehicle ramming the gate surrounding a building on Manning Street.
Responding officers saw three to four vehicles fleeing the scene. Officers chased the vehicles for some time before losing sight of them.
California Highway Patrol then took over the chase, with the pursuit soon ending at a Comfort Inn along Howe Avenue near Highway 50.
Three out of the four suspects are now in custody, Sacramento police say.
No injuries were reported in the incident, police say. No significant property damage was found in the initial call, either, officers noted.
