Tiger Woods initially planned to make his 2025 PGA Tour debut at the Genesis Invitational event he hosts annually at The Riviera Country Club. That’s no longer the case this week — and the tournament has relocated from the famed Los Angeles course.
As he continues grieving the death of his mother, Woods withdrew from the event last week, telling his fans he simply was not ready to play a round yet.
In the meantime, the tournament has relocated to Torrey Pines South Course as the Pacific Palisades neighborhood home to Riviera works to recover from devastating wildfires.
It’s unclear if Tiger will show up at Torrey Pines this week. His latest flight tracking data did not show is plane in Southern California.
I planned to tee it up this week, but I’m just not ready. I did my best to prepare, knowing it’s what my Mom would have wanted, but I’m still processing her loss.
Thanks to everyone who has reached out. I hope to be at Torrey later in the week and appreciate the continued… pic.twitter.com/HP45Tla3QQ
