Still no trophy in the cabinet, Punjab Kings are desperately looking to make an impact, but it’s fair to say they look more like a sinking ship. Firstly, they retained just two uncapped players before the auctions, and when they entered the auction with a heavy purse, they bought many big names, with Shreyas Iyer being the expensive buy. The team looks solid, and overall, they have a good mix of batters and bowlers.
Also, when it comes to coaching, they made a few changes. The first, of course, is that there is no Trevor Bayliss, who was with the team since 2022. Bayliss coached the team in 42 games, with 18 wins and 24 losses, giving him a win percentage of 42.9% during his stint as PBKS coach.
