Kruse swims for Cascade Swim Club out of Calgary and swam at Ontario Junior Internationals back in December. There she swam to numerous lifetime bests including a 27.38 50 free, 2:06.59 200 free, 4:27.58 400 free, and a 31.84 in the 50 back.
Kruse’s Best SCM Times Are:
50 free: 27.38 100 free: 59.08 200 free: 2:06.59 400 free: 4:27.58Western University is located in London, Ontario. The women’s program just finished with a 5th place finish at the 2026 USports Championships with 497 points. Sydney Hardeman led the team with 74 points including a 3rd place finish in the SCM 50 fly with a 26.63.
Zea Wetzlaugk also had a strong showing, finishing 2nd in the 50 free with a 24.76 as well as 4th in the 100 free with a 54.78. It took a 57.09 in the 100 free, 2:04.18 in the 200 free, and a 4:24.80 400 free to make finals at the 2026 USports Championships.
Kruse plans to study engineering during her time at Western University. She also set a Guinness World Record in 2022 for putting the most socks on one foot in 30 seconds.
