In high school, Hamilton starred for F.W. Buchholz in Gainesville, FL. The 247Sports Composite ranking had Hamilton rated as a 4-star prospect, the No. 35 WR, and the No. 48 player out of Florida in the 2023 class.
Hamilton chose Alabama over offers from Florida, Boston College, and Ole Miss, among others. Now, he will look to cement a role for himself on a Sun Devils’ team that made a surprising run to the College Football Playoff in 2024 after winning the Pac-12.
The Sun Devils have been busy in the transfer portal this offseason. Hamilton becomes the 11th transfer to commit to the Sun Devils and the 3rd WR to do so, joining Noble Johnson and Jalen Moss. The most notable addition is former 5-star recruit Nyland Green, who heads to Arizona State from Purdue.
The Crimson Tide, meanwhile, have been decimated by the portal. Hamilton is 1 of 24 players from the Tide to enter the portal. The WR position has been hit especially hard, with Hamilton, Amari Jefferson, Emmanuel Henderson Jr., Kendrick Law, Caleb Odom, and Kobe Prentice all entering the portal this offseason.
