SMITHFIELD – A local shopping center has a new owner. According to the Johnston County Register of Deeds Office, Center Pointe Plaza LLC of Raleigh purchased the Centre Pointe Shopping Center, at 1231 N. Brightleaf Boulevard, on December 19, 2024.
The property sold for $11.6 million according to online records. The shopping center is home to Belk, Bealls, and Dollar Tree, among other merchants.
The previous owner, Provest Centre Pointe Plaza of Hudson, NY, purchased the shopping center seven years ago for $10.9 million from IRT Partners LP of N. Miami, Beach, Florida.
According to Johnston County tax records, the 12.3 acre parcel has a tax value of $5.38 million.
