Jethro Tull Adds More 2027 Tour Dates

The newly announced dates include two July performances in Germany and a September concert:

July 6, 2027 — Stuttgart, Germany, Liederhalle Beethovensaal July 7, 2027 — Munich, Germany, Isarphilharmonie im Gasteig HP8 Sept. 16, 2027 — Nuremberg, Germany, Meistersingerhalle

The dates extend a tour that began in February 2026 in support of Curious Ruminant. The group is also scheduled to perform across Europe in early 2027, with stops in Germany, Spain, Italy, and Switzerland.

For longtime fans, the tour is another opportunity to hear music from a band whose career spans nearly six decades. Jethro Tull first emerged in the late 1960s and became known for combining progressive rock, folk influences, and Ian Anderson’s distinctive flute playing.

Ian Anderson Shares an Update on Jethro Tull’s Next Album

Although the band continues to tour, Anderson said he isn’t ready to set aside the time to write and record another full album.

“I have a growing and gradually settling direction to work to–a few little things that I’ve doodled in terms of lyrics and music,” Anderson told Ultimate Classic Rock. “But I’m not at that point yet where I’m going to set aside the time to write all of the album and record it very deliberately.”

For now, the focus remains on performing and supporting Curious Ruminant, which arrived in March 2025. The album reached No. 25 on the U.K. chart, giving Jethro Tull its third consecutive U.K. Top 30 album after 2023’s RökFlöte and 2022’s The Zealot Gene. Both earlier albums also reached the Billboard 200 Top 40.

Jethro Tull Continues a Remarkable Run

The latest tour announcement arrives as Anderson continues to lead a lineup that has evolved considerably since the band’s early years. He remains the group’s central creative figure, joined by longtime bassist David Goodier, multi-instrumentalist John O’Hara, drummer Scott Hammond, and guitarist Jack Clark.

Jethro Tull has also continued revisiting its extensive back catalog through expanded reissues. Recent releases have included Under Wraps: The Unwrapped Edition, pairing the band’s 1984 album with Anderson’s 1983 solo debut, Walk Into the Light.

With more concerts on the calendar and a catalog that keeps finding new listeners, Jethro Tull isn’t slowing down on the road—even if the next studio album remains a work in progress.
