Ree Drummond celebrated the first 10 days of her granddaughter’s life by sharing a new collection of photos on her blog starring newborn Sofia.
The Pioneer Woman host became a grandmother for the first time upon Sofia’s arrival. Drummond’s oldest daughter, Alex, and son-in-law, Mauricio Scott, announced the birth of their first child on Dec. 18.

While the Food Network star shared an initial batch of photos on her blog shortly after Sofia’s birth, she followed that post with a new round of her "favorite snapshots" on Saturday, Dec. 28. Included in the collection were eight new photos, a series that ended with a close-up view of the swaddled newborn photographed while her eyes were barely open.
"I really could have just posted this single photo and skipped all the others,” Drummond, 55, wrote to caption the snapshot, which she said Alex sent her one day earlier. The sweet photo was enough to make Drummond joke about leaving her family’s Oklahoma ranch and moving to Dallas, Texas, where the new parents live.

Though Drummond admitted that “buying a house in Dallas is highly unlikely” for her, she is aware that “browsing Zillow is just a defense mechanism to make myself feel better about the five-hour distance between me and this glorious little girl.”
Also included in Drummond’s blog post were a few of her holding and cuddling with Sofia, one of her daughter Paige’s fiancé holding the baby, and one of a “sleepy” Mauricio being “a sweet, attentive dad” while burping his daughter.
Ten days into being a grandmother, Drummond said she has spent enough time with the family of three in Dallas to “fall hopelessly in love” with Sofia.
“What a wonderful ten days it's been!” Drummond wrote as she acknowledged “dozens (hundreds?) of photos and videos” have already been taken of the newborn. “And don't worry! There will be hundreds more by this afternoon,” she added.
