CHP: Willits man killed in crash on Valley Road Sunday

A Willits man was killed in a crash east of the city on Sunday, the California Highway Patrol reported. According to the CHP, officers responded to Valley Road east of Davidson Road, near the city of Willits, shortly after 11 p.m. July 14 when a 911 call was received reporting that a crash had occurred there between two vehicles. While investigating the crash, CHP personnel determined that the driver of a 1985 Toyota pickup was headed eastbound on Valley Road and his vehicle was “partially in the westbound lane (when it) sideswiped a 2022 Honda Accord.” The driver of the Honda was identified only as a 16-year-old female resident of Willits.
