Warriors vs. Nuggets 119-103

The Warriors faced off against the Nuggets in a highly anticipated matchup, with both teams vying for a crucial win. The game started off with intense energy and fast-paced action, as both teams traded baskets and fought for every possession. The Warriors, led by their star players Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson, showcased their offensive firepower and sharp shooting skills. On the other hand, the Nuggets relied on their strong defense and inside presence to try to slow down the Warriors' scoring attack.

As the game progressed, it became clear that the Warriors were in control, as they built a comfortable lead over the Nuggets. Despite a valiant effort from Denver, they were unable to overcome the deficit and ultimately fell short as the Warriors emerged victorious with a final score of 119-103.

The Warriors are coming off back-to-back wins over the Los Angeles Lakers and Charlotte Hornets at Chase Center. The Warriors have been surging, winning eight of their last 10, including three consecutive wins.

Coming into San Francisco, the Nuggets are also coming off a pair of wins over the Portland Trail Blazers and Washington Wizards.

Klay Thompson scored 23 points all in the first half and Curry overcame a slow start missing his first seven 3-point tries before finishing with 20 points — all but four scored in the second half. He hit his only 3 with 3:26 left in the third in a 1-for-10 performance from deep. The two-time MVP passed both Dwyane Wade (23,165) for 32nd place and Adrian Dantley (23,177) for 31st on the NBA’s scoring list.

Jamal Murray scored 27 points and Aaron Gordon 17 in the Nuggets' seventh consecutive victory against the Warriors and 10th in 11 and also their fifth in a row on Golden State’s home floor since a 113-102 defeat on March 10, 2022.

The last opponent to beat the Warriors seven or more times in a row was the Grizzlies' 11 straight from November 2010 to November 2013.

The Nuggets never quite made things a blowout, but they incrementally built upon their lead throughout the second half and maintained a double-digit lead throughout the last four and a half minutes of regulation.

Jokić finished with 32 points, 16 rebounds, 16 assists, and four steals in an incredible all-around performance. Jamal Murray added 27 points on 9-for-16 shooting from the field. Thompson finished with a Warriors high 23 points while Curry was just 6-for-19 from the floor with one three-point make.

The Warriors will have an opportunity to bounce back against a less talented opponent later this week. They will be traveling east to face the Washington Wizards on Wednesday.
