This morning, Cameron McEvoy turned heads with an impressive 45.84 clocking in the men’s 100 free, putting him in pole position to complete the sprint double after winning the 50 last night over Egor Kornev.
McEvoy is using the World Cup stops to test out how his training for the 100 free is working after finding vast success in the 50 over the past three years.
The women’s 200 free will be one race to watch with Siobhan Haughey claiming the top seed this morning after an impressive 50 free swim on Thursday, while the men’s 50 breast looks like one of the marquee races of the session with a star-studded field headlined by Qin Haiyang and Caspar Corbeau.
