Bills 10-3 Stefon Diggs

The Bills are back in front of the Jets as the first half winds down at MetLife Stadium.

After a Greg Zuerlein field goal tied the score 3-3, the Bills drove 75 yards in 11 plays for their first touchdown of the 2023 season. Quarterback Josh Allen was close to crossing the line of scrimmage on a third down throw to wide receiver Stefon Diggs, but officials confirmed that his back foot was still behind the line as he delivered a five-yard touchdown toss.

Diggs has five catches for 48 yards thus far and Gabe Davis had a 26-yard gain to help position the Bills for the score.

After a defensive-filled first quarter, Bills quarterback Josh Allen and receiver Stefon Diggs took that responsibility on their shoulders. Tied 3-3 and faced with a third down in the red zone, Allen scrambled right and nearly crossed the line of scrimmage before finding Diggs in the corner of the end zone for an impressive five-yard score.

The Bills are an illustration of how quickly fortunes — and narratives — can change in the NFL.

At this time last year, Buffalo looked like the best team in football and was the popular pick not just to reach Super Bowl 57, but to win it. After sputtering in the divisional round four months later, pressure on the franchise has become immense. Doubt has grown.

This suddenly might be the last chance for the Bills to win a championship with their current core surrounding Josh Allen, and signs of discontent from Stefon Diggs may be one of the biggest reasons it feels Buffalo's reign of success in the AFC East isn't guaranteed to last.

Diggs and Allen have insisted any beef they had is behind them, but a pair of incidents over the last year have given fans reason to be skeptical.

Stefon Diggs' touchdown broke a 3-3 tie in the second quarter. The Bills were the first team to put points on the board in the contest on a 40-yard field goal by Tyler Bass. The Jets pulled even in the second quarter off a Greg Zuerlein field goal from 26 yards out. Later on, Bills quarterback Josh Allen hooked up with his top weapon downfield, finding Diggs for a five-yard touchdown score.
