Steven “Steve” Goyer has announced his candidacy for a seat in the Bowling Green City School District Board of Education in the Nov. 7 general election. Goyer is originally from Marion, where he farmed. He earned the State Farmers Degree from his livestock involvement in FFA work. As treasurer, he was awarded first place in district competition for accurate record keeping from among 26 school districts. Steve served honorable in the 136th artillery battalion of the Ohio National Guard (1964-1970) as Battery Clerk specialist 5 in a 103-member unit. He joined the U.S. Postal Service in 1962, serving 30 years in various capacities. Some of these included Railway Postal Clerk (Chicago-New York),
