Much-needed rain in the forecast this weekend for Mendocino County

A storm forecast to begin this weekend could bring an inch of rain to Mendocino County, the National Weather Service reported. According to a meteorologist at the NWS office in Eureka, the upcoming rain was expected to begin late Saturday afternoon or early evening, continue most of Sunday, then possibly into early next week. By the time the entire storm system has passed, he said, it could have delivered about an inch of rain to both Mendocino and Lake counties.
