HILTON, N.Y. — Property owners in the Greece portion of the Hilton Fire District (HFD) voted to approve a new ambulance district. It allows the Town of Parma to contract with an EMS provider, aiming to reduce response times for the district.

Neighbors in the fire district voted 82-13 on Tuesday. The approval allows the Town of Parma to contract with an EMS provider to station an ambulance in the Village of Hilton. Greece Town Supervisor Jeff McCann said the ambulance service will reduce response times for about 400 northwest Greece homes, which are mostly served by the Hilton Fire Department.

The projected cost is $0.1357 per $1,000 of assessed value, and will appear on the 2027 town and county property tax bills.

To ask questions about the ambulance district approval, people can call the Town of Greece at 585-225-200 or email at info@greeceny.gov.
