The ballroom transformed into Broadway as the remaining eight couples brought the magic of Disney to life through showstopping performances inspired by beloved Disney stories and their iconic stage adaptations. From enchanting musical numbers to theatrical choreography, the stars took center stage for a night of Disney magic with a Broadway twist.
Co-hosted by Alfonso Ribeiro and Julianne Hough, with judges Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli and Derek Hough, the ballroom welcomed back the eight remaining celebrities and their professional partners as they delivered their eighth performance and a group dance. Joining the judges table was Tony® winner and three-time Academy Award® nominee Cynthia Erivo, who is connected to Disney through her role as the Blue Fairy in the 2022 live-action Pinocchio.
In addition to the solo performances, the traditional team-dance round returns, dividing the remaining contestants into two groups for freestyle team routines, with Alfonso and Julianne also participating in the group performances. Team No. 1 danced to “Zoo” from Zootopia 2, while Team No. 2 took the floor to “We’re All in This Together” from High School Musical. And then, one couple with the lowest combined judges’ scores and America’s votes was eliminated.
