ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Happy Halloween! Trick-or-treat hours and the remainder of your Saturday evening remain dry with mostly clear skies. Though no rain is expected, you may want to throw an extra couple of layers on the kids before sending them out the door! If you are heading out to any late-night parties, you will definitely want to bring the coat. Through trick-or-treat hours, temperatures are expected to dip into the mid-40s for Rochester, low-40s south of Rochester, and the upper-30s for southern Livingston, Yates, and Ontario counties. No rain is in the forecast, so no raingear is needed this Halloween. Winds will also be a non-issue. Some gusts are reaching between 15 and 18 mph Saturday afternoon at the Rochester airport, but are expected to come down through the evening. Overnight winds stay mostly out of the south and southwest between 5 to 10 mph. Overnight low temperatures drop into the upper-30s for most across Western New York, with the exception of the higher elevations seeing the low-30s.

Clocks turn back 2:00am on Sunday morning, which means an extra hour of sleep! That is, if you can sleep in! Sunday morning starts off chilly with temperatures in the low-40s across much of Western New York and in the 30s for higher elevations. You may want to grab your jacket on the way to run morning errands or church. Other than that, Sunday is shaping up to be a gorgeous first day of November. Temperatures will soar into the mid-60s across Western New York with a forecasted high of 66 degrees for Rochester. Bills game weather is also looking spectacular in Orchard Park with temperatures hovering in the mid-60s for a majority of the game and winds out of the south between 5 to 10 mph. Temperatures only fall into the upper 40s on Sunday night as warm air lingers off to our west and expected cloud cover traps some warmth near the surface.

Looking at the week ahead: Temperatures will be much above average Monday through Thursday of this coming week. The first half of the week will likely bring dry weather with the exception of a warm front on Tuesday. Any rain from this warm front should be light and isolated in nature. Wednesday night and into Thursday is when rain chances start to jump as a cold front moves closer to the eastern seaboard. This could bring at least a few days of rainy weather and overcast skies and last into part of the weekend. After this front moves through, temperatures are expected to settle closer to average through next weekend and into the following week.
