There’s something about the soft glow of outdoor lanterns that makes a patio or backyard feel like a cozy cabin retreat. Instead of relying on harsh overhead lighting, a few warm, vintage-inspired lights can create a more relaxed atmosphere for evening dinners, quiet nights outside, or simply enjoying your garden after sunset. Solar-powered designs make it even easier to get that look since they don’t need electrical outlets or extension cords.
The EssPur Outdoor Hanging Solar Lanterns are an affordable way to add that inviting touch to your outdoor space. Available in sets of two or four, the two-pack is currently on sale for 48% off at Walmart, dropping from $36 to just $19.

Inside, a vintage-style filament bulb creates a warm glow, while the striped frame casts a decorative pattern of light around it. The compact design makes them easy to hang from tree branches, porch hooks, or fences, and they can also sit on an outdoor table to add a little ambient lighting.
These lanterns are designed to light up automatically after charging in the sun during the day. Their built-in 800mAh battery and solar panel are listed to provide up to 10 to 12 hours of illumination after around 6 to 8 hours of sunlight. That means they can help keep your outdoor space glowing well into the evening, no matter the season.

They’re also built for outdoor conditions, with an iron construction and an IP65 waterproof rating. That rating means they’re designed to resist dust and water from rain and other outdoor exposure. The metal frame is intended to offer more durability than lightweight plastic, making these lanterns a practical decorative option for patios and gardens through changing seasons.
One reviewer described the set as “beautiful,” noting that the lights “glow nicely” in a five-star review. They added, “These are so lovely! I just love it, the copper look is so on-trend now and very elegant and expensive-looking.” Another said they’re “bright,” writing, “They charge well during the day and give off a warm, cozy light at night. The metal design feels sturdy, and they’re fully waterproof — perfect for any weather.”
